Li Bin Meets with Lester Garson Huang, President of the Hong Kong Institute of Philanthropy

On June 3, Li Bin, Vice Chairperson of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairperson of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, held a meeting in Beijing with Lester Garson Huang, president of the Hong Kong Institute of Philanthropy and Chief Trustor of the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), along with his delegation.

Li Bin warmly welcomed Huang and his delegation to Beijing for the launch ceremony of the "Nurturing future: Youth Innovation and Development Program," a collaborative initiative between the two parties. She emphasized that the Foundation is committed to carrying forward Soong Ching Ling's vision of "Nurturing future" by actively promoting exchanges between young people from the mainland and Hong Kong in the fields of philanthropy, culture, and technology, achieving positive outcomes. The program aims to cultivate a new generation with innovative development capabilities through diverse talent training and cultural exchange activities. Li Bin expressed hope that the launch of the program would mark the beginning of a more fruitful collaboration, further establishing a bridge for exchanges and cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong in youth, philanthropy, and cultural fields, contributing to the stable and long-term practice of "One Country, Two Systems."

Huang stated that the Hong Kong Institute of Philanthropy and the Hong Kong Jockey Club will continue to promote youth exchange and cooperation between Hong Kong and the mainland, encouraging Hong Kong youth to actively participate in the program to gain a deeper understanding of the mainland's achievements in innovation and development and better integrate into the national development framework.

The meeting was also attended by Shen Beili, Vice Chairperson of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation; Nong Rong, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council; Zhang Jiming, Vice Chairperson of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation; and Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, Director of the Institute for Philanthropy and CEO of the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
