The opening ceremony was attended by Vice-Chairperson of the CSCLF Shen Beili, Vice-President of Inner Mongolia Women's Federation Qi Qige, and President of SK (China) Chung Eun Tae.

Shen said that China has firmly advocated and made tremendous contributions to the green development worldwide and that the harmonious co-existence between mankind and nature is one of distinctive features of China's modernization. Noting that young people are the most dynamic and creative group in the society and that they they have played vital roles in the green transformation, she called on youth of the two countries to engage in exchanges and mutual learning and contribute personal efforts to the friendship between China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) as well as the green development beyond the two nations.

Qi welcomed the arrival of young Chinese and Korean people in Inner Mongolia and asked them to fully appreciate natural landscape and cultural integration between different ethnic groups in the autonomous region and to achieve common progress in the participation of international exchanges.

Chung spoke highly of the SK-CSCLF cooperation and called on youth of the two nations to find solutions to environmental issues in the midst of people-to-people exchanges and volunteer services and make further contributions to the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

Background information
Jointly sponsored by the CSCLF and SK Group, the "SUNNY" Youth Development Action's Special Fund adheres to the guiding principle of driving social development through youth's action. It is set to hold a three-year thematic action in terms of volunteer services, personnel training and international exchanges to promote youth's development and further strengthen the people-to-people bond. With the participation of 50 young people from China and the ROK, the Inner Mongolia Group of the "SUNNY" Youth Development Action will be held from May 8 to 14 under the theme of "Green Transformation and Youth's Action." It also marks the opening of the three-year action event.
